The Chords were a 1950s American doo-wop group consisting of five African-American men. Together, they penned the song Sh-Boom.
The Chords’ Sh-Boom originally reached the Top 10 on the Pop charts in 1954. The “Crew-Cuts” were a Canadian group most famous for their re-recording of Sh-Boom, which registered as the first U.S rock n roll record to reach #1 on the Pop charts.
Today, Sh-Boom is ranked #215 on Rolling Stones’ list of 500 greatest songs of all time. Their story will not be UNWRTTN. #RightYourStory !
